During a visit to the Baykar company this week, Vilius Semeska, Lithuania’s deputy defense minister, got to know the place where the famous Turkish attack drones Bayraktar TB2, equipment that is being used by Ukraine in its defense against Russian invasion, are mounted.
The highlight of the visit, which became known from a statement made by Baykar herself on her Twitter account, was the fact that Turkey had donated a drone to Lithuania, so that it could pass it on to Ukraine, which, in turn, time, you will use it as part of your defense.
“We learned from Vilius Semeska, Deputy Defense Minister of Lithuania, that the sensitive campaign of the Lithuanian people has been successfully completed. We will supply a Bayraktar TB2 to Lithuania. We request that all donations collected be sent by Lithuania as humanitarian aid to Ukraine” .
According to another member of the Lithuanian government, national defense minister Arvydas Anusauskas, Lithuania’s idea was to buy the drone with donations raised from the Lithuanian people. However, Turkey offered the equipment for free , albeit without the ammunition.
