After a two-year hiatus, Brussels Airlines has finally returned to bringing nearly 25,000 ‘festivalers’ from over 130 nationalities to the world’s biggest electronic music festival, Tomorrowland in Boom , Belgium.
Since last Wednesday (13), more than 175 flights have departed from 69 different airports to Brussels airport, where passengers will already feel the rhythm of the festival thanks to the DJ sets, among others that will play on arrival. The company sold around 13,000 flight packages for the party.
Party on board and at the airport
In all, ten flights will be transformed into exclusive onboard experiences with live DJ at an altitude of 10,000 meters. The party’s first flight took the first festival-goers from Oslo, Norway, to Brussels, in the company of the British DJ duo Goodboys.
For the fourth time, the themed plane named “Amare” is transporting electronic music lovers to the festival. The plane is one of five of the model that carry Belgian icons in their painting. The aircraft is painted on the outside with a gigantic eagle and also brings the atmosphere of Tomorrowland inside, thanks to ambient lighting and a Bose music system.
“As Belgium’s national carrier, we are very proud to have been partners with the world-renowned festival Tomorrowland for ten years. In 2012, we organized the first 25 party flights. We also created Global Journey packages that year, allowing festival-goers to combine the festival with hotel or campsite accommodation and transport by bus, train or plane. In 2017, we presented the “Amare”, a plane with a special Tomorrowland livery, entirely dedicated to the festival. And we are convinced that the future will bring together even more beautiful achievements.” said
Michel Moriaux, head of marketing at Brussels Airlines.
The Tomorrowland atmosphere continues on arrival and departure from Brussels Airport. Since mid-June, a globe has been set up on the sidewalk (the area between the departure hall and the parking lot), which lights up and rotates at night, as well as live music in the lobby.
