The Japanese airline All Nippon Airways, also known as ANA, has one of the most curious uses of the huge Airbus A380 planes in the world.
While the other airlines acquired several units of the large double-decker plane to make flights to various destinations around the world, the Japanese company ordered only three of these jets, and with the aim of flying them to one place: the islands of Hawaii.
As a destination much sought after by the Japanese, the high demand between Japan and Hawaii made the company not only decide to put the A380 in service, but also choose paintings alluding to the destination.
Thus, the three planes feature the famous Honu turtles in Hawaii, and each one has a different color, representing the sunset, sea and sky of Hawaii, as well as different features on each turtle.
And the airline is betting so much on the appeal of the destination and on the attractiveness of its “Flying Honus” that it has now also launched plush toy turtles alluding to the three planes. They have the same colors and features stamped on the fuselages, as well as engines under their paws.
Who called attention to the news was the aviation journalist Andreas Spaeth on his twitter:
I can hear you say "cute" 🤩- @FlyANA_official actually sells these stuffed turtles on their #A380 flights #avgeek pic.twitter.com/rns1H3Y82v

The only detail is that, at least for the time being, the ANA website indicates that the Honu plushies are only sold as a set, and not individually for the specific plane in which you fly.
