An error in the system of the online agency eDreams yesterday morning (16) caused tickets to Europe, the United States and the Caribbean to be sold in Argentina from about US$ 0.02 . C5N network journalist Mauro Albornoz was the one who revealed this mistake, and there was quickly a flurry of people rushing to buy tickets.
Although this type of error in airlines or online travel agencies has been recurrent over the years, a value as low as two cents on the dollar has very little precedent in the world, recalls partner website Aviacionline .
Some users of social networks responded that they bought tickets and these were confirmed and issued without any problems. This is the case with @marzubillaga9 , who said he was able to buy tickets to Barcelona for US$0.04, while user @ediminuttorouan booked two flights to Rome and Paris for US$0.01.

Another user was willing to pay more and got tickets to Copenhagen for $0.09. @bata_gnr , on the other hand, said he was looking at five tickets to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for $0.40, but that he closed the page “because he didn’t understand why it was so cheap.”
By mid-afternoon on Monday, the eDreams (United States website) was inaccessible and later, when it was rehabilitated, tickets were found at normal prices (average of USD 1,000).
Now, those who managed to issue their transatlantic tickets for two cents on the dollar will have to cross their fingers for eDreams to recognize them or end up claiming that the fares were obviously wrong, so there was bad faith on the part of those who took advantage.
